This blog is short and sweet really. Just wanted to acknowledge again how important it is to take time to get creative. I never would have taken the time back in my previous years to sit her and doodle with different kinds of art projects. ..Just for fun.
Last night, I turned on my jams, brought out some fun colors, and gathered the few rocks I have collected (for whatever reason they caught my eye). Not really having a plan and far from being really artistic, I just started with the dots. Idea came from my kiddo's class after they saw some pretty awesome painting on rocks.
After painting last night for a
few hours, I am happy to report that they came out alright. Not too bad. The orange, pink, and yellow one is my favorite and cannot wait to explore more with this idea. I like the other two, but it is a forced picture and not a free to imagine whatever your mind brings you to. I will keep you posted with further art projects I come up with. They seem to be a hit. I brought the rocks to show the teacher this afternoon and the kids went bananas. They offered to buy them and wanted my autograph. That is an overwhelming feeling.
